Appsecure has been preparing and delivering technical and business workshops to
thousands of team members for over 10 years. During this time, we've learnt that
it is critical to ensure that one-to-one workshops are held between your team
and our research leaders. Education is all about knolwedge transfer, not just

Our developer training is focused on providing leading research testers with
extensive developer experience in the chosen field to deliver the training.
Typically, our classes are no larger than 10-15 employees and run for between an
1 - 2 day period. Our developer training is targeted at two types of developers
(code developers and code testers). Appsecure has customised courses available
for both groups and can provide direct training either onsite in your facilities
(laptop/workstation required that is capable of running VMWARE) or we can
provide training facilities throughout Australia, New Zealand and most of the
Asia Pacific Rim.
Our technical training programs cover our secure coding/testing methodology that
has been refined over many years. It is aligned with relevant industry bodies
such as WASC, OWASP, PCI and so on. The areas taught within our education
programs include:
- Authentication (Identification of user's and systems)
- Authorisation (Access Control to systems, services and data)
- Session Management (Manage communication between client-server)
- Validation (Countermeasures for managing input and output of application data)
- Error Handling (Managing exceptions and failures securely within the application
platform)
- Auditing (Capturing events that require security notification or alert)
- Data Security (Data security and storage/handling of sensitive information)
- Configuration Maintenance (Hosting/Environment configuration & interaction
between layers)
- Business Logic Design (Informational design and data access architecture)
- Common Vulnerabilities (Common issues identified in Applications i.e CSRF, XSS,
SQLi)
